The local market town of Kingsbridge is 3 miles distant and the resort of Salcombe, with many interesting shops is 10 miles away. The unique Salcombe Estuary has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

The towns of Brixham, Totnes, Torquay, Paignton and the cities of Exeter and Plymouth are within easy driving distance. Preserved steam railways from Kingswear to Paignton and Totnes to Buckfastleigh are other local attractions. There are many walks in the area including the South Devon Coastal Path.

In the Frogmore area the pubs pride themselves on their marvellous restaurants which have varied menus that specialise in locally caught seafood and steak. The Globe Inn at Frogmore is across the road, the Church House Inn at Stokenham is 2 miles away and The Laughing Monk at Strete is 5 miles away. There are many others within a 5 mile radius.

In the local area we also have horse riding, Exmoor and Dartmoor Parks are under a hour’s drive away and of course there are many beautiful beaches where you can swim, sunbathe surf or just sightsee.

If you prefer a more relaxing day then why not enjoy our grounds, have a barbeque or just sit and watch the fish in the lake, even try your hand at catching a few but make sure your rod licence is up to date, then later on as the day begins to draw in you could amble up the road to Bradworthy village, a short 5 mins walk, visit the local 14th century Inn and sample their fine ales and delicious food – good English cooking with a twist of… you had better ask the chef but whatever it is we keep going back for more and if you time it just right you might be walking back beneath one of our magnificent sunsets. We will even provide you with a torch and umbrella for the walk!

There is ample on-site parking and we have a large garden that guests are free to use. We also have about ten acres of land and run a small livery business. Full English breakfast is provided with locally sourced ingredients wherever possible and there are a number of local pubs and restaurants nearby offering a wide range of cuisines including the famous Jack in the Green and in Whimple village the Thirsty Farmer pub.

Strete Ralegh Farm is an ideal base for touring the Westcountry with Exeter and the M5 being only ten minutes drive away so giving easy access to many places of interest - the Cathedral City of Exeter, the coast of South Devon and Dorset, Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks and a number of National Trust properties. Convenient for Westpoint Exhibition Centre and Exeter Airport for which airport parking is available.
