The Bay of Fires on Tasmania’s East Coast extends from Binalong Bay in the south to Eddystone Point in the north. A picturesque view of the bay can be found driving along the coast from Binalong Bay to The Gardens. Binalong Bay is a photographer's dream with white fine sand, blue azure water and majestic granite boulders tinted with bright orange lichen.

Nearby St Helens is known as the game-fishing capital of Tasmania and affords stunning views of Georges Bay. Take a scenic drive from St Helens to St Helens Point where you will find the magnificent Peron Dunes and extensive surfing beaches along pristine coastline. A visit to The Pub in the Paddock at Pyengana to give Priscilla the Pig a beer is a 'must do' experience! Freycinet National Park is 1.5 hours drive south of Scamander Beach Shack. Take the iconic walk to Wineglass Bay Lookout (1.5 hours return) or to the beach at Wineglass Bay (3 hours return). Walk around the lighthouse at Cape Tourville and admire the captivating view of the Freycinet coastline.
