Bumi Duadari Estate is located in the rural village of Peliatan just outside of Ubud. The immediate area is characterised by tropical forest that descends down to the banks of the Petanu River. It is a tranquil hideaway blessed with natural beauty and an energy that has the power to permeate body, mind and spirit.
The name Bumi Duadari translates as “land of two angels” and is based on local Balinese legend that the site is the sacred playground for a pair of heavenly guardians. It is the prized holiday residence of esteemed Indonesian architect and interior designer, Hendra Hadiprana, who is known for his distinctive style and creative pursuit of balance. The estate houses the owner’s extensive collection of curated art works, antiques and artefacts sourced from around the Indonesian archipelago.
The estate is just a 10 minute drive from the vibrant heart of central Ubud where the main street is lined with restaurants, cafes and shopping options. There is the Ubud Royal Palace for enriching evenings of traditional Balinese dance and music. Other local attractions include a lively marketplace, a sacred monkey sanctuary, art galleries and various sites of cultural interest.
The accommodation at Dua Dari consist of four-one bedroom residences which were built in pairs and located spread over the two-hectare grounds. Each residence houses Mr. Hendra Hadiprana’s extensive collection of curated art works, antiques and artefacts sourced from around the Indonesian archipelago.
