Bali Ngurah Rai International Airport, also known as Denpasar International Airport, is located in southern Bali, 13 km south of Denpasar. It is Indonesia’s third-busiest international airport.
The duty free shops don't offer much options and the prices are too high as compared to market rates. The airport too doesn't have required amount of information desk..Just one here and there. The only good things I felt, there is a BNI Bank money transfer available at the first floor which is very useful.
DONT TAKE THE TAXI FROM THE COUNTER SERVICE AT BALI AIRPORT
In every other country, the main counter airport taxi service is to prevent taxi companies from ripping off tourists upon reaching their holiday destination. In the case of bali, it is the exact opposite. It's purpose is to rip you off based on your ignorance and trust.
Do take note that UBER and GRAB are prohibited in Kuta and Seminyak.
Try emailing your accommodation to see if they offer shuttle service. Somebody will be waiting at the airport with your name on a banner and will take you to the parking garage to get in a late model minivan. It is not too long of a walk, and you do not have to change your money at the airport to pay as the fare will be added to your accommodation account. It's the cheapest and hassle free way to get to the hotel in an unfamiliar place.
Stamping your passport is a breeze although customs may take a while as you need to fill out a declaration form regardless of green or red channel....
