Cable Station offers stylish accommodation on a historic property. Established in 1936, the property was a telecommunications centre that carried Tasmania’s first telephone link to the mainland.

During the summers months our Guests are invited to take advantage of our BBQ facilities and outdoor lounge area.

We provide on request BBQ packs available at $20 per head. They consist of high quality Scotch Fillet Steak and locally made Sausages by award winning local butchers.

Vegetables to BBQ and a Fresh Garden Salad.

When your meal is ready you have the choice to stay and mingle with our other guests in the Atrium, or enjoy your meal in your room, or your private outdoor sitting area were you can enjoy the lush views out over Bass Strait.

Explore Stanley The Nut with its striking presence this landform is a solidified lava lake from an extinct volcano. If you feel energetic, take a walk to the top or sit back and enjoy the view from the chairlift and explore the nut with the uninterrupted views of the Bass Strait, Rocky Cape, Highfield House, the lush farmland, coastline and a different perspective of Stanley.
