    Situated close to Manuka and Parliamentary Triangle in an upmarket Inner South traditional home, we offer a large bedroom in a wing of our home. This room has a Queen bed. The 2nd room generally available has a Double bed. Both have A/C, Wifi, TV, Tea etc, and access to a frig in the utilities room nearby. Both rooms share a Bathroom and separate toilet. Breakfast is buffet style - light modern Australian/Continental including home made jams from local/ or our garden produce - Our own free range eggs are available on request - You can cook them yourself how you like them! Please request any other special requirements.

    Surrounded by traditional gardens and many European trees, you can enjoy the 4 seasons Canberra has to offer. A feature are the Hedges which give privacy and elegance to the home. Guests enter through the Front door and will be given a key if necessary for access. The host is happy to do any laundry required. An iron and board are in the 1st Room. Manuka, the famous boutique and bistro precinct, is a short walk - about 1k through the park. There is a supermarket there, post office, petrol station and cInemas as well as a great choice of restaurants, bars, coffee lounges and sidewalk cafes. Manuka Oval is nearby. The Lake is a further kilometre walk.

    Parliament House is a 4 Minute drive (25 minute walk )as are other Tourist sites such as the Australian National Gallery and Old Parliament House and just across the Bridge is the CBD and the Australian War Memorial. There is plenty of on street parking. It is a quiet street which is enjoyed by the beautiful native birds that frequent our trees.

    There is a bus stop at the end of our street which takes you to the Civic Centre via Manuka and Kingston. It also takes you to The Canberra Hospital in the other direction. We welcome guests with children however they must be supervised at all times.
    This is a non smoking residence but we do allow smoking outside. Complimentary drinks are on hand. Toiletries are provided, stationery, local maps,etc. first aid needs and there is a hairdryer in the bathroom drawer

    We have lived for decades in Canberra and can assist you with directions or suggestions and historic details. Bruce is an historian. We are both fully trained in First Aid. I speak French and some German and a little Italian. We do have 2 cats - (One is typically curious! )
